Security Site Supervisor (VAXCOM)

Job Description

Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is seeking a Security Site Supervisor to lead and manage the shift security operations of a team of armed security guards at a sensitive site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead a team of armed Security Officers in their day-to-day operations.
• Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the site have the proper identification.
• Perform security patrols of the site via foot, bike, or vehicle.
• Respond to situations on site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
• Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Enforce Post Orders, company/Customer rules, and facility regulations.
• Complete mandatory training and recertification programs annually.
• Aid in maintaining and enhancing program performance over time.
• Act as a resource to managers and employees in the program and customer organization, with problem-solving skills.
• Maintain and build relationships with the Customer and other stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of related physical security experience or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience at any level.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working with Customer leadership and the Program Manager on a daily basis to address issues, changes, and modifications that will impact job requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must possess (at the time of application) an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Must have ability to pass a physical fitness test (run, push-ups, sit-ups, and a crawl) and firearms qualification standards (pistol and rifle).

Desired Skills

• 4+ years experience as an armed security guard.
• 2+ years experience as a supervisor/manager of 10+ people with demonstrated ability to mentor and coach employees.
• 2+ years experience in either law enforcement, Department of Corrections or the US Military.
• Experience working at a sensitive or secure site.

Security Clearance Requirement

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $74,800.00 - $130,900.00.
