Responsibilities
- Oversight of all aspects of the security function on-site including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training.
- Maintain contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel.
- Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance.
- Respond to client requests and make emergency notifications as necessary.
- Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
- Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions.
- Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management.
- Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders.
- Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions.
Qualifications (must Have)
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.
- Possess one or more of the following: Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard; Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets.
- One year verifiable and successful supervisory experience in security-related industry.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in any discipline.
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed).
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and active listening abilities.
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
- Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data.
- Ability to research, investigate, compile information.
- Ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
- Teamwork and attention to detail.
