About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver for a Shopping Plaza in Newport Beach, CA. This is a part-time position where you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, property concerns, and/or suspicious behavior, helping to deter unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting
• Assist with access control, directional assistance, and general support at the location while following Allied Universal standards and client site expectations

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located
• A guard card/license is preferred
• Customer service experience is preferred
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Schedule

• Position Type: Part Time / Swing Shift
• Daytime Friday: 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM
• Daytime Saturday: 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM

Pay

$21.50 / Hour
