Security Shift Supervisor - Logistics Distribution Center

About the role

The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer site. Acting as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers, you will supervise staff on your shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range.

This position requires walking and standing for foot patrol duties and the ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate security services on a designated shift
• Act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager, and security officers
• Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline to staff within approved guidelines
• Prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
• Frequent preparation of written reports and logs
• Compliance with state and/or local licensing laws and regulations (required prior to employment)
• For driving positions: valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), minimum insurance as required by Company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test (may also require a Drivers Record check)
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client sites

Pay

$23.34 per hour (starting pay).
