About the role
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the security of a high-profile client’s facility, property, and surrounding campus for a designated shift. They will perform general security duties, enforce applicable policies and rules, and deter criminal activity and misconduct.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the security function on-site, including staffing, scheduling, and on-site training of Allied Universal personnel.
- Ensure contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel are met.
- Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement designated by Allied Universal.
- Regularly inspect security personnel and their job performance to ensure quality of service and contract compliance.
- Perform operations and related functions such as payroll, incident report review, and preparation of security surveys and post orders.
- Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under direct supervision.
- Respond to client requests and make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
- Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding their duties.
- Make disciplinary action and commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel.
- Make productivity and cost-reduction recommendations to management.
- Recommend physical security surveys and post orders.
- Recommend disciplinary actions or commendations for security personnel.
Requirements
- 1 year of security experience.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year.
- Ability to pass a background check, including a driver’s record review.
- Proficiency in using computers and tablets.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
- Comfortable performing foot patrol routes requiring standing and walking for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass any state-required training or licensing qualifications.
- Ability to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
- At least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
- Ability to operate radio, telephone equipment, or console monitors.
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
Qualifications
Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in the active-duty military, military reserves, or National Guard.
- Service in Auxiliary Police or Police Cadets.
- Minimum of one year of verifiable and successful supervisory experience in a security-related industry.
- Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification.
- Active PILB guard card.

Pay
$20.00 hourly.
Schedule
- 40-hour schedule.
