About the role
Securitas is seeking a Supervisor of Security Officers. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum age of 18 years. Key responsibilities include supervising Security Officers and Lead Officers, ensuring all post orders are followed, and maintaining professional composure in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Security Officers and Lead Officers
- Ensure all post orders are followed and rounds are completed
- Notify proper authorities and clients in emergency situations
- Coach and discipline personnel as necessary
- Train Security Officers and other company personnel
- Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required
- Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities
- Meet with client representatives as needed
- Perform supervisory duties as assigned, including interviewing, orienting, and training employees
- Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company
- Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions
- May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy
Requirements
- Valid state Guard License (or ability to obtain one)
- Pass background check, drug/alcohol screening, and possibly a driving record check
- Maintain active licensing status while on duty
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and shift needs
- Intermediate computer skills; ability to work with wireless security technology platforms
- Professional appearance and demeanor required
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage both routine and emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Comfortable interacting with high volumes of the public, depending on shift assignment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred
