About the Role
The individual in this position will work as a member of the OCOS staff on the Security Team, contributing to the protection of National Security through various security-related tasks. This is a part-time role requiring 10-15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with OCONUS travel briefings (40% of time).
- Review and analyze Suspicious Contact reports submitted to the Security team (40% of time).
- Assist with Security front office tasks (10% of time).
- Support the Security team with inspection readiness tasks (10% of time).
- Work with suspicious contact reports via analytical processes.
- Assist with documentation.
- Gain exposure to all aspects of Industrial Security as it relates to National Security.
- Travel to various locations to support the SEI's overall mission, including within the SEI and CMU community.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a degree-granting program.
- Willingness to travel to various locations.
- Subject to a background check.
- Eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship.
Skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet inflexible deadlines, and deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Additional coursework, seminars, workshops, etc., in national security or homeland security-related disciplines is a plus.
Pay
Hourly pay basis.
Schedule
Part-time, 10-15 hours per week.
