SECURITY SERGEANT

About the role

The Security Sergeant will provide direction to Security Officers in their efforts to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees. To protect and preserve property interests of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to Security Officers in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis management.
• Conduct patrols and monitor surveillance systems.
• Interact with visitors and employees to ensure a secure atmosphere.
• Handle incidents and complaints related to security.
• Document and report security activities and incidents.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years Security experience.
• Prior Security Supervisory experience or customer service preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record meeting CUHC standard criteria.
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior security or customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
