About the role
The Security Property Coordinator is responsible for maintaining patient valuables records, ensuring they are properly stored and filed for both on-site and off-site retrieval. Duties also include updating and auditing these records, including patient notifications, property releases, and disposals. Additionally, the coordinator audits contraband and lost and found records, notifying owners, releasing property, or disposing of it according to UF Health Jacksonville policy.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and audit patient valuables records
- Notify patients regarding valuables
- Release property upon request
- Dispose of property in accordance with UF Health Jacksonville policy
- Audit contraband and lost and found records
- Notify property owners
- Release property to owners
- Dispose of property as necessary
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- Necessary Skills: Reason and make decisions without direct supervision, take initiative to contact visitors, patients, or employees, present a positive attitude, effective verbal and written communication skills, basic principles and procedures related to the disposition of release of property, and knowledge of storing property principles, procedures, methods, and techniques.
- Required Experience: 3-5 years' experience in storage and inventory of property and maintaining accurate records
- PREFERRED Experience: Over 5 years' experience in storage and inventory of property and maintaining accurate records
