About the role
The Project Manager I/II for Security Services plays a critical role in supporting and managing security-focused service and project work generated from dedicated service contracts for client accounts. This role is ideal for a technically grounded manager who understands physical security systems and components and can effectively bridge design, service, and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key point of coordination for security-related service work and small-to-mid-sized projects, supporting the client, field technicians and Account Executive.
- Support design-build and service-driven project execution by applying hands-on knowledge of security systems including access control, video surveillance, intercoms, and related infrastructure.
- Review scopes of work, service tickets, and project documentation to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client expectations.
- Lead the proposal and estimating process by developing project estimates and establishing budgets using Accubid estimating software; prepares and submits comprehensive proposals.
- Cover scheduling of technicians, subcontractors, and material procurement to support service SLAs and project milestones.
- Cook up submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation, ensuring service and future maintenance needs are considered.
- Maintain accurate project and service documentation within project management systems including work orders, change requests, RFIs, and closeout materials.
- Collaborate with design, service, and field teams to ensure systems are designed and installed with long-term serviceability in mind.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams and clients to provide status updates, resolve issues, and support strong customer relationships.
- Promote and support jobsite and service safety compliance in alignment with company and client requirements.
- Attend project and stakeholder meetings as required to represent project progress and address issues.
- Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
- Aid in tracking financials, billing readiness, and service-related project costs.
- Maintain daily communication with the customer contacts, field team and project team.
- Track and maintain KPIs for monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Ensure customer SLAs are met and achieved for each contract.
Requirements
- 36 years of experience supporting security systems, low-voltage projects, or technical service operations.
- Strong working knowledge of physical security systems, components, and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and service documentation.
- Experience supporting service environments, including troubleshooting, parts identification, and lifecycle considerations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/service management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical, design, and operational teams.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate customers/account needs for site visits, meetings and field coordination.
- Confident in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, and public groups.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex or non-standardized situations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Professional certifications in security systems or related fields preferred.

Pay
$90,000 - $145,000/year DOE (Salary/Exempt)
