About the role

Edgeworth Security is seeking an entrepreneurial, driven individual to join our team as a Project Manager. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our full-service security company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and project implementation. They will also be responsible for managing projects and ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large, complex and enterprise-sized projects for current and/or future installations of Security, CCTV, Card Access and/or other specialty systems as assigned.
  • Oversee project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor planning, field installation, etc.
  • Attend job progress meetings as required.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, letters of transmittal, permits, change orders, final closeout requirements, etc.
  • Effectively communicate project progress and financial status of projects.
  • Resolve project issues with minimal need for escalation.
  • Analyze and prepare complex billings, including detailed schedule values, within project scope to maintain a positive cash flow.
  • Recognize and develop Change Orders.
  • Provide in-house estimating and proposals as needed.
  • Proactively recognize and manage risks and develop creative solutions.
  • Ensure safety protocols are implemented and are in compliance with both company and project requirements.
  • Ability to interpret complex construction documents and contracts, including project scope.
  • Complete jobs within budget.
  • Review and update job status and cost to completion weekly.
  • Participate in onsite and remote meetings with contracts administration, field supervision and engineering departments to review all ongoing projects.
  • Forecast project workforce demands including resource loading and MS Project scheduling from the installation to the final testing, certification, and closeout.
  • Understand and follow all adopted codes and standards to ensure work is performed in compliance with all state, local and Federal legal requirements.
  • Follow industry standard project management procedures and processes.
  • Report to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
  • CSPM or PMP preferred; certification required within first 12 months of employment.
  • Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by National, State or Local codes.
  • Proficiency of Project Management Institute's (PMI) methodology and key knowledge areas: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communications, Risk Management.
  • 5+ years of industry, security and project management experience.
  • Technically inclined with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, dependable to work under little or no supervision.
  • Demonstrate job stability and eagerness to learn.
  • Individuals with past experience in construction field and/or knowledgeable in the fire alarm/security industry are highly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

  • Understanding and knowledge in the basic design of Video, access control and intrusion systems.
  • Well versed in system implementation and understanding of how systems are installed.
  • Basic knowledge of network design and infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of access control fundamentals and door hardware requirements.

Physical requirements

  • Climbing up or down ladders, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, stairs, scaffolding, ramps and the like.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • General office duties including use of a computer.
  • Ability to travel if necessary. Projects may exist outside of assigned geography. Travel will vary on project assignment.

Pay

This position is exempt, full-time, with full benefits and an annual salary of $80,000; negotiable based on experience, education, and/or certifications.
