Security Professional

About the role

Park City Southie is seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Team Members to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for our guests and staff. Security is responsible for monitoring the property, managing guest entry, enforcing venue policies, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns, and assisting management with maintaining a safe and controlled environment. This position requires excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guests, employees, entrances, exits, and designated areas of the property.
• Check IDs and ensure guests meet venue age and identification requirements.
• Enforce Park City Southie’s dress code, house policies, and entry procedures.
• Monitor guest behavior and identify potential safety or security concerns.
• De-escalate conflicts and disruptive situations in a professional manner.
• Assist management and staff with difficult or intoxicated guests.
• Prevent unauthorized entry and monitor restricted areas.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, medical situations, fights, and other incidents.
• Communicate effectively with management, bartenders, servers, hosts, and other security team members.
• Assist with crowd control during busy periods and special events.
• Complete incident reports accurately and provide management with relevant information.
• Monitor the property for hazards or situations that could create a safety concern.
• Follow all company procedures, security protocols, and applicable Massachusetts laws.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a safe environment without unnecessarily disrupting the guest experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous security, restaurant, bar, nightclub, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Must be professional, alert, dependable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions quickly and appropriately.
• Comfortable working around large crowds and high-volume nightlife environments.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Must be at least 21 years old, or meet any higher age requirement applicable to the specific security duties.
• Any required Massachusetts security credentials or licenses must be maintained as applicable to the position.
