Security Professional - Part Time

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directions and general information, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations through proper channels.
• Support crowd management, special events, and service disruptions by maintaining a visible presence and following post orders, location procedures, and/or response protocols.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 years old for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
