Part Time Security Specialist

About the role

This role supports the Corporate Security team by helping ensure NASCAR-sanctioned facilities meet established security standards. The Part-Time Security Specialist assists with facility assessments, event-day security operations, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support security operations at NASCAR-sanctioned events, including on-site presence and coordination
• Aid in executive protection and special assignments as needed
• Respond to and document incidents, preparing clear written reports
• Conduct assessments of sanctioned facilities against NASCAR security standards
• Aid in maintaining and improving security procedures and protocols
• Serve as a liaison with local law enforcement and public safety agencies during events
• Communicate security-related information to internal teams and partners
• Maintain awareness of emerging security practices and technologies

Requirements

• Prior law enforcement experience (current or retired) required
• Ability to meet Federal HR 218 requirements
• Ability to maintain required certifications (firearms, medical, licensing)
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong judgment and ability to respond effectively in dynamic environments
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors and in event-based environments
• Willingness to travel frequently and work weekends/holidays aligned with the race schedule
