About the role

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed to conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle, documenting detailed observations of unusual conditions
  • Aid hospital staff with de-escalation of patient-related situations and restrain combative individuals as necessary
  • Transport patients to the morgue and assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters
  • Sound alarms or call police/fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons; warn of rule infractions
  • Monitor entrances and exits, ensuring only authorized individuals enter and exit the hospital, and that no contraband or hospital items are brought in or out
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years' service in healthcare/medical-related field
  • At least 21+ years of age
  • At least 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or criminal justice degree
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Comfortable transporting deceased patients and restraining individuals
  • Ability to meet hospital vaccination requirements
  • At least 2+ years of security experience
  • Valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal policy requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
  • Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations
  • At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
