A Security Police Officer (SPO) serves on the front lines of protecting personnel, facilities, critical infrastructure, and mission-essential operations. This position combines law enforcement, security, and emergency response responsibilities in a dynamic environment supporting one of the world's most recognized organizations. Responsibilities
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor and control access to facilities, buildings, and restricted areas.
- Perform security inspections, investigations, and routine assessments of facilities and property.
- Enforce applicable laws, regulations, and security procedures.
- Assist with traffic control, incident response, and public safety operations.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports documenting incidents and activities.
- Interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders.
- Operate communication systems, security technology, and assigned equipment.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, special events, and continuity of operations efforts.
- Maintain readiness and professionalism in support of mission-critical operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances and certifications.
- Ability to meet firearms qualification, medical, physical fitness, and background screening requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and emergency assignments as needed.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening.
Qualifications
- One (1) to three (3) years of military, law enforcement, corrections, armed security, public safety, or related experience preferred.
- Completion of a state or federal law enforcement academy preferred.
- Military police, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience.
- Current First Aid, CPR, or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience responding to emergencies and conducting patrol operations.
- Experience working in a federal, military, aerospace, or critical infrastructure environment.
Pay
USD $39.75/Hr.
