Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or site concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Complete routine logs, incident reports, and other assigned documentation related to daily activities, observations, and/or response actions.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
