About the role

As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail center, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver welcoming customer service to guests and tenants. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, damaged property, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Assist with traffic flow, visitor directions, and retail center events while maintaining accurate activity reports and incident documentation.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
