Responsibilities
- Safeguard classified information and ensure the safety and well-being of employees and visitors on company property.
- Perform all duties and assignments of a post until properly relieved.
- Monitor and respond to all emergency situations in the facility.
- Submit daily reports on the activity of their posts as well as incident reports, as required.
- Complete assigned rounds, reporting all employees who damage or misuse company property, or violate safety rules, regulations or other published policies.
- Report on improperly secured Closed and Restricted Areas.
- Physically check the ID of all personnel entering the facility and verify authorization for access.
- Maintain a written log of the time of arrival, time of departure, name, signature, purpose and destination of all visitors, and issue appropriate visitor badge.
- Administer the temporary badge system for current employees.
- Prevent any prohibited items from being brought into the facility.
- Operate and monitor the CCTV, facility card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years’ experience as a security guard
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Secret Clearance (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License Preferred
