Job Details Job Description: Altera is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to oversee day to day corporate security operations across multiple locations. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of security services, managing the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), coordinating incident response, supporting investigations, and driving operational excellence across the security program. The Security Operations Specialist partners closely with the APAC Regional Manager, Security Systems and Technology Manager, Facilities, HR, Legal, IT, Procurement, and business leaders to ensure security operations are delivered consistently and aligned with Altera's security standards and objectives. This position reports to the Head of Global Corporate Security and is responsible for executing security programs while supporting the continued growth and maturity of Altera's global security organization. Key Responsibilities Manage day to day security operations across Altera's global office portfolio while partnering with regional security leaders.Oversee the daily operations of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), including incident monitoring, alarm response, dispatch, escalation, and reporting.Coordinate security incident response, investigations, and post incident reviews to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.Manage contract guard services and security vendors to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and operational performance.Partner with the APAC Regional Manager to ensure consistent execution of security programs across Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangalore, and Penang.Partner with the Security Systems and Technology Manager to support access control, video management, visitor management, Everbridge, International SOS, and other enterprise security systems.Support executive protection activities, workplace violence prevention, travel security, and crisis management initiatives as needed.Conduct security assessments and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and reduce risk.Develop and maintain security operating procedures, documentation, and operational standards.Track security metrics, incidents, and vendor performance, and provide regular operational reports.Build strong working relationships with HR, Legal, IT, Facilities, Procurement, and external partners.Support security planning for new offices, renovations, and other corporate security projects.Assist in developing employee security awareness and emergency preparedness programs.Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate.Perform other security related duties as assigned. The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance. $100.2K - $137.8K USD We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, emergency management, or a related field.Experience supporting physical security operations in a corporate, manufacturing, or technology environment.Familiarity with access control systems, video management systems, visitor management platforms, and security operations best practices.Experience supporting incident response, investigations, or security risk management activities.Experience coordinating security vendors or contract guard services.Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.Ability to build effective working relationships across HR, IT, Facilities, Legal, and other business functions.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising security personnel, contract guards, or service providers.Experience working in a corporate security environment or supporting a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).Familiarity with enterprise access control, video management, visitor management, and incident management systems.Exposure to crisis management, business continuity, workplace violence prevention, executive protection, or travel risk management programs.Experience supporting security technology implementations or facility security projects.
