Security Operations Engineer (Levels III - V)

About the role

The Security Operations Engineer is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, maintaining security systems, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real-time.
• Investigate security incidents and provide technical solutions.
• Maintain and update security systems and configurations.
• Document security procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure security measures are integrated into broader IT operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Experience with SIEM tools and incident response processes.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, or similar.

Skills

• Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of web application security.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

• $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
