About the role
The Security Operations Engineer (Level I - V) plays a crucial role in monitoring and responding to security incidents within the organization. This individual will work closely with other IT teams to ensure the integrity and availability of systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network and system logs for security events
- Respond to security alerts and incidents
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures
- Collaborate with incident response team to resolve security issues
- Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations
- Experience with SIEM tools and security protocols
- Strong understanding of network architecture and security principles
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
Qualifications
- CISSP certification preferred
- Hands-on experience with security tools like Splunk, Nagios, or similar
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Technical proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- $80,000 - $120,000 annually
