About the role
As an SOC (Security Operations Center) Operations Analyst, you will support Inter-Con's distinguished Officers in the field by assessing threats and monitoring security operations in real-time. You will join a dynamic team responsible for responding to security incidents, gathering intelligence, and developing reports for upper management.
Responsibilities
- Support Operations Managers in executing security procedures, monitoring and maintaining alarm systems, responding to alarm activations, troubleshooting issues, and reporting security incidents.
- Ensure effective response to emergency and non-emergency situations, and timely completion of reports as directed by the SOC Manager.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly testing of durability, wellness, and assist alarms; document and report any issues identified.
- Use various systems software, security, and communications equipment.
- Monitor CCTV systems, review incident reports, and conduct quarterly audits of CCTV equipment to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Monitor local news and media outlets for events or incidents that could affect company operations and escalate as necessary.
- Notify and communicate with Operations Managers and senior personnel to maintain a common operating picture of the area of operations.
- Monitor the primary radio channel and dispatch Access Control Officers (ACOs) as needed to respond to incidents or service requests.
- Monitor security applications, triage alerts, and escalate where appropriate.
- Investigate and resolve incidents to contain and remove security threats as safely and quickly as possible.
- Respond to emergencies and report any breaches or deviations from established security or safety protocols.
- Create and develop cases using threat intelligence and lessons learned from incidents and alerts.
- Understand operational KPIs and utilize data to assist the SOC Manager in driving operations.
Requirements
- Preferred candidate has either an honorable military discharge, an AA degree, or 1 year of experience in a center/security dispatch environment.
- Understanding of security operations and FEMA ICS/Watch officer training is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated interest in security and law enforcement work preferred.
- Comfortable in an ever-changing, fast-paced, and sometimes stressful environment.
- Technologically savvy—experienced with MS Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service orientation is a plus.
- Comfortable in a corporate environment and able to effectively communicate with senior management.
- Flexible and able to meet deadlines in a high-tempo environment.
- A dependable team player with maturity, who participates in problem-solving with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Able to independently develop reports, spreadsheets, diagrams, charts, graphs, and other products using Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, etc.
