Responsibilities
- Monitor VSS, ACS, and IDS systems to ensure continuous situational awareness; validate that controls operate as designed and identify system degradation or gaps; evaluate measures needed to resolve deficiencies; make recommendations for plan development and monitor and lead implementation
- Triage alarms using severity and risk frameworks; investigate alarm activations and analytical system alerts; initiate internal/external notifications, including law enforcement, control centers, and security leadership
- Preserve digital evidence following chain-of-custody requirements; maintain complete, timestamped documentation of shift activity; generate defensible reports for audits, legal purposes, or regulatory use
- Identify recurring vulnerabilities and provide trend reporting; support enterprise risk register updates with observed patterns; provide expert-level recommendations for operational adjustments to mitigate risk potential
- Support ISO internal audits and documentation reviews; implement corrective action tracking and continuous improvement activities
Qualifications
- Must possess one or more of the following: Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) of years of experience in security operations, law enforcement dispatch, Security Operations Center or similar experience
- Minimum three (3) years of security operations, law enforcement dispatch, Security Operations Center or similar experience
- Must be familiar with industry standards and best practices for physical security (ASIS, APTA, ANSI, ISC, etc.)
- Interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate complex information efficiently and effectively and in a manner that meets bespoke audience needs, including senior-level leadership
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to handle pressure; fast-paced environment, and aggressive deadlines.
- Ability to proactively prevent and analyze problems and take appropriate immediate action
- Ability to engage in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting
- Project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice
- Experience with VSS, ACS, IDS, and incident management platforms
- Experience with the administration, operation, and maintenance or installation of enterprise physical security systems, including Genetec-based access control systems (ACS), Lenel video surveillance systems (VSS), and/or intrusion detection systems
- Previous experience in emergency dispatching (Police/Fire/EMS)
