Security Operations Analyst
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on triaging and investigating security alerts, analyzing telemetry and forensic artifacts, and helping determine the source and impact of malicious activity. The analyst will partner with product support and internal technical teams to strengthen response workflows, improve detections, and enhance overall analyst effectiveness. This is a hands-on cybersecurity position with exposure to malware analysis, endpoint response, and investigation work across modern operating systems and cloud environments. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts from the company's platform
- Perform tactical reviews of EDR telemetry and forensic artifacts to determine attack origins
- Conduct malware analysis during alert investigations
- Investigate suspicious activity in Microsoft M365 and recommend appropriate actions
- Assist the Product Support team with threat-related questions and escalations
- Contribute to detection engineering efforts and detection enhancements
- Support projects that improve analyst outcomes and team collaboration
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a SOC or digital forensics role
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS security
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and offensive tactics
- Experience with static and dynamic malware analysis
- Understanding of Windows administration and networking concepts
- Strong communication skills for cross-department collaboration
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about cybersecurity

Pay
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 annually
