About the Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of AI systems that reason through real-world security incidents. As a Security Operations Analyst, your hands-on SOC experience will directly shape how AI detects, investigates, and responds to threats — making a meaningful impact on the future of cybersecurity.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic incident and alert scenarios to assess what's happening and why it matters
  • Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
  • Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and real-world relevance
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs to ensure they reflect how analysts actually work in practice
  • Distinguish true security signals from noise and false positives across a range of simulated environments
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI systems think and respond like seasoned analysts

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations
  • Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage processes, and security investigation workflows
  • Skilled at separating genuine threats from false positives under realistic conditions
  • Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
  • No prior AI experience required — your security expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat hunting, malware analysis, or digital forensics
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or SANS
  • Background working across multiple SIEM or EDR platforms
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIA

Why Join Us

  • Work on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs and security experts
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, on your own terms
  • Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work
  • Contribute to AI that could improve real-world cybersecurity outcomes
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
