Security Officers Needed

About the role

Guardian Security Services is seeking a Flex Security Officer to work at a location in Bedford Park, Illinois. The position requires flexibility to work all shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Understand and maintain general post instructions for the assigned post.
• Maintain practical knowledge of additional and emergency post instructions.
• Maintain access control procedures set by management.
• Utilize access control systems, visitor management systems, and CCTV systems as needed.
• Document and report any property damage and special occurrences.
• Monitor CCTVs to guard against trespassing.
• Respond to incidents and document the event accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service, public relations interactions, and maintain an impeccable image at all times.

Requirements

• Able to work all shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in all situations.
• Aged 21 or older.
• High school diploma or GED, or military service record.
• Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or willing to apply for one.
• Completed a 20-hour training certificate or within 30 days of employment.
• Passed a pre-employment screening process including drug screening.
• Maintain an impeccable image and adhere to professional grooming standards.
• Mature demeanor, personality, and attitude.
• Strong customer service, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge necessary.
• Maintain a working telephone at all times.
• Reliable means of transportation.
