The work site is in Evanston, easily accessible by public transportation (a short walk from the Purple Line and Bus Station) with on‑site parking available. The position is indoors in a climate‑controlled workspace. We believe in making smart investments in people and strive to match each applicant to the client’s specific security needs.

Responsibilities

• Access monitoring — Monitor entry points and verify authorized entry to the property.
• Safety response — Address safety concerns promptly, disturbances, or unusual behavior.
• Incident documentation — Complete accurate incident reports for any notable events, policy violations, or emergencies.
• Customer service — Provide courteous assistance and support a welcoming community atmosphere.
• Policy enforcement — Ensure compliance with community standards.
• Emergency coordination — Assist with fire alarms, medical situations, or police activity by following established protocols.
• Visibility and deterrence — Maintain a strong security presence to deter misconduct and promote safety.
• Communication with supervisors — Report significant issues to site leadership promptly and maintain clear communication throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in all situations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or willingness to obtain one
• 20‑hour training certificate (or completion within 30 days of hire)
• Minimum age 21 years
• CPR and AED certification (or completion during onboarding if not already held)
• Successful pre‑employment screening, including drug test
• Impeccable image and adherence to professional grooming standards
• Mature demeanor, personality, and attitude
• Strong customer service and public‑relation skills; ability to interact well with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and non‑verbal
• Must maintain a working telephone at all times

Pay

$19.25 per hour.

Schedule

Shift: 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM (10‑hour night shift), with weekend availability and holiday work required.
