Security Officer with DOD Clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access credentials when required, and support visitor management processes in accordance with site protocols.
• Assist with monitoring sensitive work areas and technology-focused environments for policy compliance, escalating security-related issues, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be willing to undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Ability to respond calmly and problem-solve in emergencies.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
