Security Officer with Active Clearance Visitor Reception

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Cherry Hill, NJ, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge activities, monitor entry points, and provide professional customer service. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk location within an aerospace and defense environment, following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Verify visitor credentials, manage access requests, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor the lobby, entry points, and applicable security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Answer phones, direct guests to appropriate contacts, and support a professional, welcoming front desk experience while helping to deter unauthorized access.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
