About the role
As a Security Officer with Active Clearance Roving in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic technology and communications location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork, while bringing an agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first approach to every shift with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or credential checks in accordance with site protocols to help deter unauthorized entry and support orderly site operations.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities while supporting a professional presence aligned with the needs of a fast-paced business environment.
Requirements
- An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
