Security Officer - Weekdays Full Time

Overview

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen people and/or materials, and report unusual activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support efficient operations through reliable attention to established procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect authorized items as required, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and/or access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, loading areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
