Security Officer - Weekday Mornings

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Role in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions, activities, and/or concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions when required, and support site rules related to restricted areas, vehicles, materials, and/or visitor processing.
• Assist with documenting daily activities, unusual occurrences, maintenance concerns, and/or emergency events, while communicating relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or public responders as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications
