Security Officer - Warehouse Environment

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or interactions in accordance with site-specific post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.
• Effective communication skills.
