Security Officer- Walking Patrols

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff movement, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions that could affect daily operations or the visitor experience.
• Support closing and opening routines as assigned, including checking designated areas, verifying that restricted spaces remain properly controlled, and reporting issues requiring follow-up.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
