Security Officer Visitor Services

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Olive Branch, MS, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and badge processes, and provide outstanding customer service. Use computer or tablet tools to document security-related activity and communicate clearly with employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting events as required.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$16.50 / hour

Schedule

• Part Time
• Daytime: Tuesday and Friday, 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
