Security Officer Visitor Intake Specialist

As a Security Officer Visitor Intake Specialist in Riverside, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at the location.
- Control access to buildings, gates, loading areas, and/or restricted spaces by checking identification, authorizing visitors, issuing passes, and maintaining required logs.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Support shipment and facility operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, documenting unusual activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access around docks, yards, and perimeter areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting site conditions, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
