Security Officer Visitor Access Management

About the role

As a Security Officer Visitor Access Management in Temperanceville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. You will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming experience for employees, visitors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor employee, visitor, contractor, delivery, and vehicle access by verifying credentials, authorizations, and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate access logs, issue authorized visitor credentials, and communicate entry requirements and restricted-area protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly report security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-area access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
