Security Officer Visitor Access

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Lugoff, SC, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring activity, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Your visible presence and customer-focused approach will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Help deter unauthorized access by following access control protocols, reporting irregularities, and escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, exterior areas, and perimeter locations, noting conditions that may require attention.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 / hour
