Security Officer - Utility Agency

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public utility facilities, offices, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency procedures as directed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required (per Allied Universal driver policy).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$25.24 per hour

Schedule

Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM; Friday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM; Saturday: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM; Sunday: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
