Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrols Port Wilmington grounds to maintain traffic control, detect criminal violations, and detect safety hazards.
- Ensures the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
- Reports safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
- Makes frequent inspections of all Port facilities, including parking areas, offices, warehouses, piers, and rail areas.
- Works closely with the United States Coast Guard and Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies.
- Records details of patrol.
- Escorts visitors, oversize vehicles, and equipment from gates to the destination on the property as necessary.
- Affords assistance at Port of entry gates.
- Mandatory overtime is required as needed.
- Must participate in overtime as needed to maintain effective and efficient patrol operations.
- Required to perform shift work which will include days, but could also include evenings and nights, including weekends and holidays.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Ensures activities and duties are consistent with Port Wilmington policies on SQF and FSMA.
