Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
