About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer in Gloucester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and reporting security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and support site access-control procedures for employees, guests, and contractors.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- This is primarily a driving post; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay
$24.50 per hour.
