Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while contributing to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Preferred Qualifications
- Alarm panel experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Access control and badge experience.

$18.54 / hour
