About the role

As an Unarmed Retail Security Officer in Calabasas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor alarm panels, and respond to security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or guests at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.25 per hour.

Schedule

• Daytime shifts: Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
