About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report observations. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
- Observe shipping and receiving areas for security-related concerns, help maintain orderly traffic flow, and report damaged barriers, lighting issues, or other conditions requiring attention.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
