Security Officer Unarmed Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions needing attention.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor movement, verifying permitted access, and reporting security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Document incidents, daily activities, and/or observations in required reports, and relay relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
