About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location in Prince George, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet technology as needed while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food production and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document security-related observations, incidents, and irregular conditions.
• Support site operations by communicating professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and emergency responders while following established post orders.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
