About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Watch in Canonsburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Support closing and opening routines, alarm-related responses, and other assigned post duties while maintaining a professional presence and providing clear directions to staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
