Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Team

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic technology location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, badge activity, and visitor traffic in accordance with site policies, helping to support authorized access and orderly operations.
• Complete routine reports on patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and relay important updates during shift changes and/or to site leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
